welcome, my name is
Griffin
Kuchar
nice to meet you!
I am a builder.
A Senior at Texas Christian University (TCU) studying Computer Science, Mathematics, and Economics, graduating in May 2027. I'm the product of cultivating Machine Learning undergraduate research and CS tutoring with two strong industry internships at AMD.
At my core, I am a creator and a builder who sets and achieves his own goals: learning new skills, meeting new people, and maturing as both a person and an engineer along the way.
I am currently searching for Summer 2027 internships before beginning my Master's in Fall 2027.

About
I'm obsessed with systems-level architecture, agentic software design, and real-world machine learning applications (especially in social media and finance). As a result, I cannot stop consuming (and soon publishing) information surrounding these topics.
Outside of engineering, I love fitness (primarily running and lifting), my dogs, the Spurs, and everything outdoors.
Roles I'm Most Interested In
- ▹AI Engineer
- ▹ML Engineer
- ▹Software Engineer
- ▹Data Engineer
- ▹Firmware Engineer

AMD
Systems Engineering Intern - Mobile Systems (SoC) Team
May 2026 - August 2026 | Austin, Texas
- ▹Developed an agentic AI automation tool adopted by 250+ engineers for first-level hardware debugging.
- ▹Expanded on my prior validation tool by implementing an agentic loop that autonomously downloads, analyzes, and root-causes hardware failures, cutting debug time by 80%.

TCU
AI/ML Research Assistant - NextGen AI Research Lab
January 2026 - Present | Fort Worth, Texas
- ▹Collaborated with TCU's nursing department and Children's Health Dallas to develop a Machine Learning PEWS model that improved detection of pediatric patient decompensation.
- ▹Engineered the end-to-end ML pipeline, including data preprocessing, feature engineering, model training and evaluation, and hyperparameter optimization.

TCU
Computer Science Tutor - TCU CS Department
August 2025 - Present | Fort Worth, Texas
- ▹Tutored 60+ first- and second-year computer science students across three programming courses, improving assignment completion rates and boosting average exam performance by 10 points.
- ▹Presented to 50+ students as a guest speaker for TCU, sharing insights from my AMD internships and providing career guidance, resulting in 5+ students reaching out for mentorship and application guidance.

AMD
Validation Engineering Intern - System Validation Team
May 2025 - August 2025 | Austin, Texas
- ▹Built a chat UI adopted by 20+ engineers that queries Jira tickets by translating plain-English into structured JQL via the OpenAI API, cutting ticket-searching time by 50%.
- ▹Designed and executed stress-test and benchmarking workloads with 15+ unique components across 20+ systems, validating AMD CPUs/APUs by catching defects before customer release.
- ▹Identified and automated a debugging workflow bottleneck by architecting a JavaScript internal tool (later expanded into a multi-agent system), reducing manual debug time by 50% for 5+ engineers.
Projects
Agentic AMD Hardware Debugger
- ▹LLM-powered full-stack agentic web app that automatically debugs hardware test failures.
- ▹Agent loop that autonomously runs debug tools on downloaded files, iterating until it declares a root cause or reaches its token/loop limit.
- ▹Adopted by 250+ AMD engineers across multiple teams worldwide.
ML Pediatric Decompensation Predictor
- ▹Research ML model predicting pediatric decompensation early in collaboration with Children's Health Dallas and TCU Nursing.
- ▹Trained on 15,000+ patients using vitals, PEWS scores, labs, sepsis indicators, and clinical notes across 8 evaluated classifier models.
